A huge thank you to all the family and friends of our Earlsmead Ballet Club children who came to watch them perform at their end of term shows.
Our ballet clubs will continue on Tuesday 9th January and Wednesday 10th January.
Many thanks to Leonie for all her support with our ballerinas this term, we look forward to more ballet after the holiday.
AP Saints Netball Club are excited to announce that we have expanded our junior training programme to include year 3 and 4 sessions.
Training will be held on Sundays during term time from 10-11am at Woodside High School, White Hart Lane, Wood Green, N22 5QJ, where our experienced coaching team will guide the girls on their way to upholding our record as the premier junior netball club in North London.
The inaugural session on Sunday 14th January is a fun free taster day!

The school will be open as usual on Monday 11th December. Please make sure that children are wrapped up warm with appropriate footwear - the snow is unlikely to have melted by the morning and roads and pavements will be icy. We will post any updates on the school website so please keep checking.
Come and meet Santa Claus at Walthamstow Wetlands!
Activities will include storytelling with Santa Claus in the Victorian and locally-listed Turbine Room as well as a festive-themed nature trail through the site where children can explore nature, discover minibeasts, birdwatch and track mammals both large and small. Each ticket will include a gift from Santa and there will also be a photo opportunity.
1 hour sessions taking place on 9th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd and 24th December
Cost: £10 per child to include one gift per child.

This week, 4th - 8th December, students and teachers at Earlsmead will join tens of millions of people all around the world taking part in an Hour of Code. The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics.
You can take part in the event at home by using the fantastic choice of tutorials available at code.org.
We had a special visit from the Mayor of Haringey who was introducing his What Makes You Happy Art Competition.
The Mayor also met with our school council and they had a really interesting and informative conversation about mental health and wellbeing.
Last week two pupils attended a TfL STARS workshop.
They learnt peer-to-peer influencing skills to promote safer, active and independent travel within the school community.
Earlsmead also won a Gold Accreditation for high standards of sustainability!
We had a special visit from Pudsey Bear last week. He popped into the KS1 playground to tell us all about Children in Need which is happening this Friday 17th November. On Friday, children can come to school in their pyjamas (please make sure they are warm enough) to help raise money for Children in Need.
This Anti-Bullying Week (13-19th November) we celebrate what makes us All Different All Equal. There will be activities in all our classes throughout the week. You can get involved too on the Anti-Bullying Alliance website.
Please note that the school will be closed to children on Friday 24th November 2017 for a teacher training day. It will be open as usual on Monday 27th November 2017.

Great news!
Soccer Kidz football club will be starting again on Wednesday 15th November. Children will soon be receiving letters in their classes to sign up for the first 6 week block.
Europe’s biggest urban wetland has just opened right by our school and if you visit you will see some of the fantastic art our students made. Pink and Yellow class created animal models which are now hanging from the ceiling making a big, colourful chandelier.
Walthamstow Wetlands is open seven days a week between 9.30am to 4pm (October to March) and 9.30am to 5pm (April to September) and entrance is free!
