Pendarren MAY 2024

 Day 1

We arrived safely in Wales and got straight into some team building activities as part of ‘Croeso’ this means welcome in Welsh. 

The weather was fantastic and we loved exploring the countryside in and around Pendarren House.

Day 2

Good morning from Pendarren House!! Group 4 are ready to get going on today’s activities. Yesterday, after a long journey, we had lunch and then explored Pendarren House and the grounds. We also learned a new word ‘croeso’ which means welcome in Welsh.

Another day of fantastic weather for us here in Wales. Today we split our activity day into 2. We really enjoyed canoeing and orienteering. We took on our challenges with determination and were successful. We have had so much fun learning new skills and working together as a team. 

Group 4 had a blast canoeing!

Day 3

Group 4 had a great morning on the climbing wall and zip line. Then in the afternoon we went mini beast hunting before taking part in a murder mystery in the evening!

Day 4

The fun and adventures continued today for our Year 6 at Pendarren House. 

We conquered the climbing wall, abseiled and enjoyed the zip line. We also caught a variety of creatures in the Pendarren pond habitat and river.

Group 3 headed down to the coast to hunt for crabs and shellfish when the tide was out

Day 4: Group 3 and 4 went to the beach. We enjoyed rock pooling and found lots of interesting creatures. Then went for a walk along the coastline where we spotted seals. 

Final challenge for groups 3 and 4 - climbing a mountain up to a prehistoric standing stone, and exiting through a peat bog!
